As per the article, Paradise Police Department said two vehicles were involved in the accident. Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed that both drivers were injured following the crash.
One of the parties involved, 64-year-old Charles Black, was freed from his car by the firefighters.
Police affirmed that Black and the other motorist, 49-year-old Christine Renninger, were taken to a local hospital with unspecified injuries. Their condition at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, drugs and alcohol did not appear to have played a role in the incident which is still under investigation.
