Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Paradise Hills Hit-and-Run Near Munda and Oriskany
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 17, 2022) – An apparent hit-and-run crash seriously injured a pedestrian near Munda and Oriskany roads in Paradise Hills.
According to an article published by The San Diego Union-Tribune, the accident took place early Thursday. Officers reported the collision at around 2:50 a.m.
San Diego police said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown. The driver hit him near the intersection of Munda and Oriskany roads in the Paradise Hills neighborhood.
Driver Hits Man, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Perry Elementary School. They found the man lying unconscious as a result of the incident.
He sustained a serious head injury due to the impact of the collision. Medical personnel then rushed the victim to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not release the name of the wounded patient and his condition at this time. Meanwhile, police believed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the man and fled the area.
Officers forced the corner of Munda and Oriskany roads to shut down following the accident. The cause of the Paradise Hills hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
