2 Dead, 3 Injured in 2-Car Crash
PASADENA (March 30, 2016)- A 23-year-old driver and 17-year-old passenger were killed and three others injured in a crash was reported Wednesday morning at the intersection of Lake Avenue and East Villa Street, according to CBS Los Angeles.
The collision which took place right around 7:00 a.m. involved involved a 2003 Mustang and a 2006 Kia Sorrento SUV.
Per CBS Los Angeles, one of the vehicles was heading north along Lake Avenue before colliding with the other vehicle causing the Mustang to strike a pole off the side of the road.
The article confirmed that two motorists tragically sustained fatal injuries. They have been identified as Reynold Chilel-Ramirez, 23, and Adelfo Chilel-Lopez, 17, both from Pasadena.
There were two men ages 22 and 27 who were also injured while riding in the back seat.
A Los Angeles woman, 46, driving the Kia had minor injuries.
Police officials are currently investigating the incident and have not stated whether drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in this wreck.
