PASADENA: Alejandro Banuelos Killed in DUI Crash
Fatal DUI Crash at Colorado Boulevard and Michigan Avenue
PASADENA (April 7, 2017)-According to CBS Los Angeles, a deadly DUI crash resulted in the death of a young man and injuries to another late Thursday evening at the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and Michigan Avenue.
Authorities identified the deceased as 26-year-old Alejandro Banuelos.
The collision involved a single vehicle and took place at precisely 11:42 p.m.
Authorities report that a 22-year-old man of Altadena was the driver of a Cadillac sedan who lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons and struck a curb causing the car to hit a light post completely mangling the entire car.
Two men accompanied the 22-year-old driver.
The passenger later revealed as Alejandro Banuelos sadly suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second passenger, a 22-year-old man, was moderately injured. He received treatment at the scene but was arrested shortly after being public intoxication as he was not compliant with police officials for reasons unknown.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Cadillac was transported to a hospital with moderate injuries and was listed to have been in stable condition. Authorities plan on placing the Altadena man under arrest as soon as he is released from the hospital.
