Woman, 47, Critically Injured in Pasadena Crash at Raymond and Washington
PASADENA (September 23, 2019) – A pedestrian was critically injured after a traffic accident in the area of Raymond Avenue and Washington Boulevard late Sunday night.
Police said a 47-year-old Pasadena woman was crossing near the intersection of Raymond Avenue and Washington Boulevard when for an unknown reason she was struck by a car.
The vehicle, a Honda Accord, headed southbound on Raymond Avenue reportedly turned left onto Washington Boulevard and hit the victim.
Pedestrian Hit by Car in Pasadena Sunday, September 22
According to an article published by the Pasadena Star News, the driver failed to see the woman in the roadway prior to hitting her. The collision occurred September 22 just before 11 p.m.
Paramedics responded to the scene and found the pedestrian suffering from severe injuries as a result of the crash. She was rushed to a hospital where she was listed in critical condition.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the 29-year-old Pasadena woman driving the Honda stopped and cooperated with the authorities. Officials are still investigating the cause of the incident.
