Fiery Collision Near Highway 46 Offramp
Paso Robles, CA (August 17, 2022) – A traffic accident that occurred on Highway 101 resulted in injuries, according to Paso Robles Daily News.
Earlier reports indicated a semi truck loaded with oranges collided with a sedan near the Highway 46 offramp. The force from the impact caused the big rig to catch fire, and eventually engulfed in flames.
Shortly after the incident, multiple agencies responded to the scene–including Cal Fire, the Paso Robles Fire Department, Templeton Fire Department, and the California Highway Patrol. The San Luis Obispo County Environmental Health and Safety and HAZMAT team also arrived at the crash site because of leaking fuel.
At Least 1 Hurt in Car Crash on Highway 101 in Paso Robles
Medical personnel checked the conditions of all the occupants in the truck and the sedan. After the evaluation, paramedics requested an ambulance to respond to the location. The exact number of people hurt, and the extent of their injuries remained unknown.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole morning. At this time, they continue to investigate exactly how and why the crash happened on Highway 101 in Paso Robles.
