PASO ROBLES: Man, 51, Badly Injured in Crash on Creston Rd
PASO ROBLES (March 23, 2016)- According to the Paso Robles Daily News, a Paso Robles man sustained serious injuries following a motorcycle collision Tuesday morning on Creston Road.
At 7:55 a.m., the driver of a F-150 pickup truck hauling a porta potty identified as Jorge Damian, 35, of Avenal, was heading westbound along Creston before attempting to make a left-hand turn into a private driveway.
As Damian performed his turn, a Paso Robles man identified as Robert Labarbera, 35, was on a motorcycle riding behind the pickup truck. Labarbera tried to pass Damian but was struck by the pickup in the act of doing so. The 51-year-old man sustained major injuries after being thrown from his Yamaha motorcycle.
The injured man was quickly rushed to Sierra Vista Hospital, where he remained hospitalized as of Wednesday morning.
Fortunately, Labarbera was wearing a helmet which likely prevented any further harm.
While authorities continue their investigation, neither drugs nor alcohol were contributing factors in this incident.
Motorcycle riders are far more vulnerable to injuries in crashes with other motorists, but they are also more likely to get blamed for the crash. If you were hurt in a collision with a negligent driver, Johnson Attorneys Group would like to help by offering a free legal consultation at 800-235-6801.
