Patricia Garrett, 24, ID’d as Merced DUI Crash Near Parsons and Gerard Avenues
MERCED, CA (September 30, 2022) – Authorities detained Patricia Garrett after a DUI crash near Parsons and Gerard avenues in Merced.
Police determined that the 24-year-old woman was under the influence of fentanyl when the wreck took place on Friday.
The incident happened when Patricia Garrett was driving a Chevy truck south on Parsons Avenue near Gerard Avenue in Merced. She then veered into oncoming traffic.
Police said tin the process, her car struck a Dodge Charger head-on near the intersection. Both vehicles obtained major damage due to the impact of the collision.
3 Seriously Injured in Wreck
The 41-year-old driver of the Dodge and two juvenile passengers sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. Paramedics rushed them to a hospital for treatment.
The names of the wounded victims and their condition at this time were not disclosed. The FOX 26 News and Your Central Valley wrote that the wreck occurred at around 10 a.m.
Meanwhile, policed added that Patricia Garrett survived the crash with unknown injuries. Medical personnel took her for further aid.
Officers soon arrested Patricia Garrett for DUI causing injury and other charges. The Merced DUI crash is still under investigation.
