Child Hurt in DUI Crash; Driver Arrested
COACHELLA, Calif. (Oct. 10, 2010) — Patricia Mancilla, 35, of Coachella, has been arrested on DUI charges following an injury crash at Calhoun Street and Eagle Avenue.
The crash took place about 8:06 p.m. on October 8, 2018, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said. The Coachella Police Department responded to the two-vehicle traffic collision where they found a white Toyota Camry driven by Mancilla had collided with a blue Honda Civic.
Police said that the Toyota had been traveling southbound on Calhoun Street when the two vehicles collided at the intersection with Eagle Avenue.
A child sustained minor injuries. They had been riding in the Honda occupied by two adults and two juveniles. The injured child was transported to a local hospital. Upon investigating the crash, police determined that Mancilla had been driving under the influence of alcohol and she was subsequently arrested.

Coachella Accident Investigation
Police are piecing together evidence and will determine fault for this crash. At this time, it appears that the suspected drunk driver is going to be held responsible. Further investigation may be required.
