Patrick Farrell, 84, Killed in Oxnard Crash on Victoria Avenue Near Wooley
OXNARD, CA (October 21, 2021) – Patrick Farrell was killed after a car crash on Victoria Avenue in Oxnard.
The Medical Examiner’s Office identified the 84-year-old Oxnard man as the victim in the fatal wreck which took place on Monday.
The incident began when Patrick J. Farrell was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV east and crossing Victoria Avenue in Oxnard. At the same time, a 2001 BMW 330i was going south.
Man, 20, Badly Injured in Collision
For an unknown reason, the two cars collided south of Wooley Road. The Ventura County Star and KVTA News wrote that the accident occurred on October 18 at around 11:06 a.m.
Police said Patrick Farrell sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and rushed him to the Ventura County Medical Center, where he died.
The driver of the BMW, a 20-year-old Oxnard man, survived with moderate injuries. Medical personnel soon took him to the VCMC and listed him in stable condition.
