Patrick Montgomery, 17, Dies After San Jose Hit-and-Run on Park Paxton Place
SAN JOSE (April 15, 2019) – A pedestrian has died after an alleged hit-and-run crash along Park Paxton Place last week Sunday, April 5.
Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 17-year-old Patrick Montgomery.
Police said Montgomery reportedly had contact with at least one person in a vehicle which then drove away for an unknown reason. The teen then either held on to or was dragged by the car.
Montgomery fell to the ground and came to rest against a parked vehicle. The incident was reported on April 5 at about 6:40 p.m. in the 4000 block of Park Paxton Place.
According to The Mercury News, the victim was immediately transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries Sunday.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the car did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. The suspect vehicle was described as a light-colored sedan which was last seen traveling north on Park Paxton Place.
