Patrick Shipp, 53, Victim in Fatal Pedestrian Accident

DATE OF COLLISION: Friday, October 19th
October 24, 2018- According to the Ventura County Star, Patrick Shipp, 53, has been identified as the man fatally injured following a pedestrian versus auto collision that occurred last week on Friday.
According to the Star, Shipp, a possible transient, had been walking across Ventu Park Road at around 10:37 p.m. near Highway 101 before being hit by an oncoming minivan driven by a 54-year-old man who resides in Thousand Oaks.
The collision left Shipp with grave injuries for which he was rushed to a trauma center for and remained until sadly succumbing to his injuries Monday morning.
Authorities confirmed the driver of the minivan remained present at the scene and was cooperative with police officials.
He was determined to not have been under the influence and therefore was not arrested.
No further details have been provided as the investigation is still ongoing.
