Bicycle Rider Seriously Injured in Patterson Crash at Ward and Elfers
PATTERSON, CA (November 19, 2021) – A bicycle rider was seriously injured after a crash at Ward Avenue and Elfers Road in Patterson.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:42 a.m.
CHP said for an unknown reason a vehicle struck the bicycle rider in Patterson. The driver hit the cyclist at the intersection of Ward Avenue and Elfers Road.
Bicyclist Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the T.W. Patterson Sports Complex. They found the bicyclist hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the rider. Officers forced the area of Ward and Elfers to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the Patterson bicycle crash is still under investigation.
