1 Injured in Patterson Hit-and-Run Crash on Interstate 5 at Diablo Grande Parkway

PATTERSON, CA (August 4, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the Interstate 5 in Patterson.

The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the accident on August 3 at about 6:21 p.m.

According to their dispatch, a semi-truck collided for an unknown reason with a Toyota pickup in Patterson. The two crashed on the southbound Interstate 5 at Diablo Grande Parkway.

Semi-Truck Hits Car

CHP said the Toyota truck obtained right front damage and a flat tire. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Sperry Avenue.

They found an occupant of the pickup who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then provided aid to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck.

Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the big rig failed to stop and left the area.

Officers forced the southbound lanes of the Interstate 5 to shut down following the collision. The Patterson hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
