Paul Inman, Woman, Both Killed in Fatal Crash Highway 70
OROVILLE, California (August 8, 2017) – Two people were killed in a fatal head-on collision reported Tuesday morning on state Route Highway 70 at Ophir Road, a California Highway Patrol report said.
Both drivers were trapped in their vehicles following the 5:48 a.m. collision. The fiery, high-speed crash involved two vehicles and left one vehicle in the northbound lane and one in the southbound lane after impact. At least one of the vehicles was on fire after the crash and police had to shut down the roadway to help the victims.
A witness told police that the driver in the sedan almost side-swiped their vehicle prior to the collision as it was traveling at a high rate of speed.
Paul Inman was identified as one of the two victims killed and the second victim has not been identified yet.
The family of Mr. Inman has established a Go Fund Me page to raise money for his funeral.

Police are attempting to piece together what led to this deadly collision and who was at fault. Many questions remain unanswered. At least one person told authorities they saw a driver speeding, but police will also piece together evidence to determine which driver veered into the other driver’s path.
