Paul Stemper Badly Hurt in Car Accident Near Del Rio Road Tuesday
Templeton, CA (May 5, 2021) – On May 4, Tuesday, 60-year-old Paul Stemper suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run collision on State Route 101.
The Paso Robles Daily News reported Paul Stemper was behind the wheel of a GMC Sierra traveling west on Highway 101. Preliminary investigation revealed a reckless driver slammed into the back of the GMC in the area near Del Rio Road.
According to the article published online, a 1998 Honda Civic was traveling at a high rate of speed on US-101 in Templeton. Officials mentioned the driver of the Honda made unsafe lane changes as he drove north on the highway. The Honda Civic was in the lefthand lane and apparently attempted to change lanes onto the right lane. In the process, the driver lost control of his vehicle and veered onto the east asphalt shoulder. Subsequently, the driver of the Honda attempted to swerve back into the traffic lanes. The Honda ended up rear-ending the GMC Sierra driven by Paul Stemper.
Shortly after 3:35 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the site and found Paul Stemper with moderate injuries. At this time, it remained unclear whether paramedics transported the injured driver to the hospital or released him at the scene.

Meanwhile, our sources confirmed the Honda driver fled the scene before police arrived. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
