Paula Scott, 61, Killed in Palmdale Head-On Crash on Sierra Highway
PALMDALE, CA (January 1, 2022) – Paula Scott was killed after a car crash on Sierra Highway in Palmdale.
The coroner’s office identified the 61-year-old Palmdale woman as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Friday.
The incident happened when Paula Scott was riding as a passenger in a Honda Accord going south on Sierra Highway in Palmdale. At the same time, a Chevrolet Silverado was heading north.
For an unknown reason, the pickup truck crossed over the double yellow lines. In the process, the Chevrolet slammed head-on into the Honda.
2 Drivers Injured in Wreck
The Palmdale Sheriff’s Station said the two crashed at the railroad tracks just south of Technology Drive. My News LA wrote that the accident occurred on New Year’s Eve, December 31, at about 5:30 p.m.
Paramedics arrived and found the woman who ended up suffering from serious injuries as a result of the wreck. Paula Scott died at the scene of the crash.
Medical personnel took the driver of the Accord and the motorist in the Silverado to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Meanwhile, deputies believed that alcohol played a role in the incident. The cause of the Palmdale crash is still under investigation.
