Fatal Scooter Accident on Aviation Boulevard in Hawthorne
HAWTHORNE, Calif. (Jan. 18, 2022) — Paulin Aguirre, 24, died in a crash while riding a scooter on Aviation Boulevard Friday, Jan. 7th between 135th Street and El Segundo Boulevard.
Paulin Aguirre was identified by Los Angeles Sheriff Coroner as victim of the deadly crash between his scooter and a vehicle.
The Hawthorne Police Department reported the crash at 6:52 a.m. on Jan. 7th on their Twitter account.
Police temporarily closed down all lanes in the 300 block of of South Aviation Boulevard in both directions due to the deadly crash.
Hawthorne Collision Investigation
The roadway remained closed for several hours due to the cleanup and subsequent investigation into the fatality.
All lanes in both directions of Aviation Boulevard between 135th St and El Segundo Bl are closed for the next several hours due to a fatal traffic collision. Avoid the area.
