ARCADIA, California (December 15, 2016) — A 77-year-old Arcadia woman was killed Wednesday night when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver while walking across the road at the intersection of Baldwin and Arcadia avenues, according to the Arcadia Police Department.
The crash took place about 9:45 p.m. last night. The driver, Alex Danilo Cerna, 51, was later arrested by police after several witnesses gave police the pickup truck’s license plate number. Police found Cerna at his Pasadena home and arrested him on suspicion of felony hit-and-run, gross vehicular manslaughter and felony DUI.
The woman was rushed to a local hospital, but she died of her injuries.
