Driver Fatally Hits Pedestrian in San Ysidro Area

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Feb. 10, 2025) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Monday morning on the southbound Interstate 805 Freeway at San Ysidro Blvd., in San Diego.

The traffic accident occurred around 6 a.m. on Feb. 10th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a driver in a white Honda Accord struck the person in the slow lane of the freeway and pulled to the right shoulder.

Paramedics responded to help the injured pedestrian, but the person died following the crash.

Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the damaged Honda sedan from the roadway.

Investigators are piecing together what happened to determine fault for the pedestrian accident on the 805 Freeway.
