Woman Injured in Car Accident at Pleasure Point Intersection
PLEASURE POINT, Calif. (June 25, 2024) — A driver struck a woman Tuesday morning at 38th Avenue and Portola Drive in Pleasure Point.
The traffic accident occurred at around 7:51 a.m. on June 25th in Santa Cruz County, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch report.
There are posted stop signs in all four directions at this intersection. Also, the intersection has well marked crosswalks for pedestrians. It’s unknown what the circumstances are leading up to the driver hitting the woman in the roadway.
However, the woman was “barely conscious” following the collision. Police say the driver hit the woman in the northbound center lane of the roadway, the report said.
The driver stopped and called 911 for paramedics.
The woman was treated for minor injuries, but it’s unknown if she was transported to a hospital at this time.
Finally, investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the pedestrian accident in Pleasure Point.
