2 Injured in Hit-and-run Pedestrian Collision
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (June 3, 2024) — Two pedestrians were critically injured in a hit-and-run crash at the Walnut Creek farmers market early Sunday morning on Locust Street near Cole Avenue.
The pedestrian accident occurred at around 5:15 a.m. on June 2nd, according to East Bay Times. Later the same day, police arrested the suspect who allegedly caused the crash and failed to stop.
Police and paramedics responded to the scene and transported the injured people to a hospital.
Investigators working on the case located the suspect later the same afternoon and arrested the person on suspicion of hit-and-run.
Meanwhile, the farmers market was closed down for the remaineder of the day due to the crash.
