
Man, 37, Critically Injured in Hit-and-run Crash
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (April 26, 2023) — A 37-year-old man was hospitalized with a head injury after a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Copley Park Place in Kearny Mesa.
The collision occurred around 11:45 p.m. near Ruffner Street on Tuesday, April 25th, according to the San Diego Union Tribune.
Man Hospitalized After Accident on Copley Park Place
Police say they responded to the scene and located the man suffering from head injuries including a bleed and fractured ribs.
An eastbound driver reportedly struck the pedestrian as he walked in an eastbound lane of the roadway and then the motorist fled the scene.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded and rushed the injured man to a hospital. The man’s injuries are not considered life threatening, police said.
Police do not have a description of the vehicle and there are no witnesses at this time to the accident at Copley Park Place.
