Major Injury Pedestrian Accident on Fairway Drive in Tahoe City

TAHOE CITY, Calif. (Jan. 26, 2024) — A pedestrian was critically injured Friday morning in a car accident on Fairway Drive at River Road in Tahoe City.

The collision occurred in front of 205 Fairway Drive at around 9:35 a.m. on Jan. 26th, just south of Commons Beach, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A driver in a vehicle struck the victim due to unknown circumstances.

Cal Fire sent paramedics to the crash scene, but the pedestrian had major injuries and they arranged a helicopter to airlift the person to a trauma center.

Meanwhile, the driver was questioned about what happened and the vehicle was towed from the crash scene.

The Placer County Sheriff’s Department and CHP officials re working to determine fault for the pedestrian accident on Fairway Drive.

The case remains under investigation.
