Pedestrian Critically Injured in Crash on Fruitridge Road

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Oct. 19, 2023) — A pedestrian accident at Fruitridge Road and 24th Street in Sacramento left a person in critical condition on Thursday morning.

The traffic accident occurred early Thursday, Oct. 19th, according to KCRA 3 News. It’s the third pedestrian accident in a 24-hour period, the station reports.

It’s unknown what led up to the pedestrian accident, but there are crosswalks in all four directions of the Sacramento intersection.

The person sustained major injuries and was transported by an ambulance to a hospital where he is listed in critical, but stable condition, the report said.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the pedestrian accident on Fruitridge Road.
