Pedestrian Injured in Gas Station Parking Lot Crash on Valley Center Road
VALLEY CENTER, CA (March 5, 2022) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a crash in the parking lot of a Valley Center gas station.
The California Highway Patrol said the incident took place on Saturday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at about 3:26 p.m.
The accident happened when a car struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason at 31267 Valley Center Road. The vehicle hit the person in the parking lot of the Horizon Fuel Center gas station.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who ended up suffering from minor injuries as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Palomar Medical Center Escondido for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the person. Officers forced the parking lot of the gas station to close after the collision.
The cause of the Valley Center pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
