Pedestrian Riding Skateboard Suffers Major Injuries After Collision in Bloomington
BLOOMINGTON, Calif. (April 28, 2025) — A male pedestrian on a skateboard was injured in Bloomington early Monday in a car accident at Slover Avenue and Alder Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the scene at approximately 4:27 a.m., reporting a vehicle versus pedestrian collision.
According to witnesses, the man was initially seen riding a skateboard in the middle of the street before standing along the right-hand side and then jumping in front of an oncoming black Toyota Camry.
Emergency crews transported the injured man to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) with major injuries. Officials temporarily closed the roadway but reopened all lanes by 5:39 a.m. However, the victim’s age and identity were not released.
Meanwhile, the CHP is investigating the circumstances surrounding the pedestrian accident on Slover Avenue in Bloomington. There is no further information on the driver’s condition or whether there are possible charges.
Finally, authorities urge drivers to remain vigilant and remind pedestrians to use designated crosswalks and avoid roadways when not safely crossing.
