
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. (Jan. 17, 2023) — A multi-vehicle crash and pedestrian accident happened Tuesday morning on the Interstate 15 Freeway, just north of Gorman School Road.
The collisions occurred about 7:23 a.m. on Jan. 17th in the Gorman area of Los Angeles County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a gray pickup and a white sedan were in the center divider and a pedestrian was standing next to their vehicle. Another motorist in a white Yaris that was reportedly driving recklessly spun out of control on the snowy, wet freeway. The vehicle reportedly collided with the stopped vehicles and also hit the pedestrian, the report said. Also, a gray pickup truck side-swiped a red Honda.
Los Angeles County Fire and Kern County Fire departments sent paramedics to assist those hurt in the collisions including one person with major injuries.
Tow trucks removed at least three of the damaged vehicles from the freeway.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the I-15 Freeway crash in Gorman.
