Major Injury Pedestrian Accident in Garden Acres
STOCKTON, Calif. (March 30, 2022) — A Garden Acres pedestrian accident on East Main Street happened Wednesday morning in front of the Dollar Market store, just east of Stockton.
A westbound driver reportedly struck the person in the roadway about 6:35 a.m. on March 30th at 4232 E. Main Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a man was lying in front of the vehicle on the street in the westbound lanes near a marked crosswalk. The speed limit in the area is 35 mph and there are single lanes going in each direction with a turn lane between them.
The motorist stopped after the crash and someone called for help.
Paramedics responded with police and located the man suffering from major injuries. They transported the person by ambulance to a hospital, but there are no further details.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Garden Acres pedestrian accident.
