Pedestrian Critically Injured in Crash on Beach Boulevard
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (August 18, 2022) — A Huntington Beach pedestrian accident happened Tuesday night at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Talbert Avenue.
The collision occurred about 10 p.m. on August 16th, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department and the Daily Pilot.
A driver in a southbound silver Chevrolet Spark apparently had a green light, but struck the victim who was reportedly crossing the street against a traffic signal, police said.
The person suffered major injuries in the crash. Paramedics responded and rushed the person to a hospital where they are listed in critical condition.
The Huntington Beach Police Department is heading up the investigation into the crash.
Authorities reportedly closed down the southbound lanes of Beach Boulevard between Talbert and Newman avenues for the investigation.
Police do not suspect drugs and or alcohol were factors in the crash.
