Pedestrian Struck by SUV in Castro Valley
CASTRO VALLEY, Calif. (May 31, 2024) — A pedestrian accident on Castro Valley Boulevard happened Friday morning at Stanton Avenue in Castro Valley.
The traffic accident occurred at around 11:12 a.m. on May 31st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver in a gray Toyota Highlander SUV struck the pedestrian after the vehicle went through the intersection and wound up on a sidewalk.
Paramedics responded and reported the pedestrian had complaints of chest pain, but it’s unknown if they were taken to a hospital.
Meanwhile, the SUV required a tow truck due to front-end damage from the accident.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the pedestrian accident on Castro Valley Boulevard.
