Elderly Man Hit and Injured by Vehicle Near Oro Street

El Cajon, CA (March 23, 2023) – An 82-year-old pedestrian died following a traffic collision that occurred on Greenfield Drive Tuesday evening, March 21.

Major Pedestrian Accident on in El Cajon

The San Diego Union-Tribune News reported an elderly man walked across the street near Oro Street in the Bostonia neighborhood. While in the middle of the roadway, a passing westbound Nissan Altima struck the pedestrian. The collision resulted in major injuries to the elderly. According to the article published online, bystanders helped the victim until paramedics arrived. Responding medical personnel immediately rendered aid to the injured pedestrian, then transported him to the hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, the 42-year-old woman driving the Nissan appeared unharmed after the crash.

Investigators continue to work at this time to determine liabilities in the pedestrian accident that happened on Greenfield Drive in El Cajon.
