Man, 33, Struck by Pickup Truck on Main Street
HESPERIA, Calif. (Dec. 18, 2024) — A 33-year-old man was injured in a pedestrian accident in Hesperia Tuesday night on Main Street and E Avenue in Hesperia.
The man was struck about 5:55 p.m. on Dec. 17th, according to Victor Valley News Group.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured man to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, the report said.
The parents of the man injured in the collision told authorities their autistic son exited Stater Bros while they were shopping and walked toward Main Street.
The man crossed on a red traffic light, but halfway across the street the light turned green. A driver in a white 2010 GMC Canyon work truck was eastbound on Main Street and struck the victim.
Paramedics from San Bernardino County Fire responded and transported the injured man by ambulance to a hospital and he is expected to survive.
The pickup driver cooperated with the deputies and the investigation into the Hesperia pedestrian accident.
