Man, 80, Injured in Pedestrian Accident
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Dec. 8, 2023) — An 80-year-old man was injured late Wednesday afternoon in a pedestrian accident on Twain Avenue in the Grantville area of San Diego.
The collision occurred at around 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6th, according to the Times of San Diego.
A driver in a Toyota Camry sedan was heading west on Twain Avenue when they struck the victim as he was crossing from the north sidewalk in the westbound lane in the 4300 block of Twain Avenue, the report said.
The elderly man suffered numerous life-threatening injuries including a compound fracture on his left knee, a humoral fracture, fractured ribs, an orbital bone fracture and a fractured pelvis, the report said.
The San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division is heading up the investigation into liability for the pedestrian accident on Twain Avenue.
