Driver Hits Pedestrian in Spencer’s Fresh Markets Parking Lot
ORCUTT, Calif. (May 2, 2024) — A driver struck a pedestrian in a parking lot accident at Spencer’s Fresh Markets on Thursday morning at Orcutt Road near the Santa Maria Airport in Orcutt.
The collision occurred at 3580 Orcutt around 11:19 a.m. on May 2nd, just north of Lakeview Road in Santa Barbara County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver in a gray 4-door Honda struck the victim and wound up in a ditch near the side of the roadway.
The pedestrian went down on the ground in a parking lot stall, the report said.
Meanwhile, the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office and paramedics responded to help those who were injured, but there are no further details.
A tow truck removed the Honda from the ditch and investigators are working to determine fault for the pedestrian accident on Orcutt Road.
