
Woman Hospitalized After Pedestrian Accident in Paradise Hills
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 5, 2024) — A pedestrian was seriously injured Saturday in a car accident at Paradise Valley Road in the Paradise Hills area of San Diego.
The traffic accident occurred at around 6:10 p.m. on Feb. 3rd, according to the Times of San Diego.
Authorities reported a 55-year-old man was driving a 2006 Hyundai Azera westbound on Paradise Valley Road when he struck the woman who had just crossed the road, but turned and stepped back into the path of the vehicle, the report said.
Paramedics responded and located the woman in the roadway with multiple fractures. She was transported by ambulance to Scripps Mercy. Doctors treated fractures to her pelvis, right leg and right arm, but the injuries are non-life threatening, the news report said.
Traffic investigators closed down Paradise Valley Road between Munda Road and Potomac Street to conduct an investigation.
