
Woman, Teen Hit by Car on Sidewalk
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (June 12, 2023) – Two people were injured in a pedestrian accident on South San Pedro Street Saturday in downtown Los Angeles.
The collision occurred around 9:42 a.m. on Saturday, June 10th, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A woman in her 50s and her teenage daughter were on the sidewalk when a driver in a vehicle jumped the curb and struck both of them.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the crash scene at 916 S. San Pedro Street in the Flower District, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
They treated the woman for complaints of pain and her daughter for several fractures, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The LAPD is heading up the investigation, but preliminary results indicate the driver had a medical emergency. The motorist also crashed into several cars after hitting the pedestrians.
