Pedestrian Severely Injured in Crash in Hillcrest Area of San Diego
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 14, 2024) — A pedestrian was severely injured in a car accident Wednesday morning on University Avenue in the Hillcrest area of San Diego.
The traffic accident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of University Avenue between 10th Avenue and Vermont Street, according to the Times of San Diego.
Paramedics responded and located the injured person in the roadway before transporting them by ambulance to Scripps Mercy Hospital. The victim’s age, gender and identity was not released at this time.
Meanwhile, the San Diego Police Department is heading up the investigation into the Hillcrest accident on University Avenue.
Finally, authorities closed down the eastbound lanes of University Avenue to collect evidence and conduct their investigation for roughly two hours.
