Woman, 87, Seriously Hurt in Hit-and-run Pedestrian Accident
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (June 2, 2021) — A pedestrian accident on West G Street involving a hit-and-run driver Sunday left an 87-year-old woman seriously injured.
Also, the collision happened just before 3 p.m. on May 30th near Kettner Boulevard in downtown San Diego, according to the San Diego Union Tribune.
Police are searching for the hit-and-run driver who fled after hitting the pedestrian as she crossed the street.
Police Seek Suspect in Hit-and-run Crash on West G Street
The motorist involved was driving eastbound on G Street in a vehicle described as a 2013 to 2015 white Nissan Altima, police said.
Afterwards, the driver reportedly fled eastbound on West G Street after the pedestrian accident.
Meanwhile, paramedics took the injured woman to UCSD hospital. Furthermore, her injuries were a brain bleed and laceration to the back of her head, police said.
