Victim Struck by Vehicle
SALIDA, California (April 26, 2016) – A pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision in the area of Sisk Road and Kiernan Avenue late Tuesday night, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
Per the Modesto Bee, the incident occurred at 10:05 p.m. when Ryan Gulman, 21, of Salida, was crossing Sisk Road before being struck by a Ford Fusion driven by Jennifer Tynes, 33.
Gulman sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Doctors Medical Center, where his condition has since not been updated.
Per the Modesto Bee, Tynes stuck around at the scene and was cooperative with authorities throughout the interrogation process.
Authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
