JOSHUA TREE, San Bernardino County (May 4, 2016) – A female pedestrian was hit by a vehicle resulting in injuries on Granada Drive Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The accident happened at around 5:06 p.m.
Preliminary record that a woman was found lying on the roadway. She was crying and covered with dirt as the vehicle which struck her sped away from the scene.
The force from the impact was significant, resulting in the female pedestrian suffering in major injuries.
She was immediately rescued and transported to a nearby medical facility.
The CHP log mentioned that the suspect’s vehicle was seen by a witness and it was described as a silver gray van. But the authorities have not yet confirmed this provided information.
