BAKERSFIELD, California — According to an article by ABC 23, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle morning of March 7 at McKee and Ashe roads.
Police said a female pedestrian was jogging westbound across the south portion of the intersection when she was hit by a southbound truck.
The collision just before 10:00 a.m. killed the pedestrian at the scene. She was identified in The Bakersfield Californian as 41-year-old Sara Hernandez.
Meanwhile, officials affirmed the involved motorist stopped and reported the accident.
Authorities are still determining charges and liabilities on the deadly crash.
