Man Struck by Truck on Oct. 11th Dies at Hospital
HAYWARD, Calif. (Oct. 22, 2021) — A 56-year-old man hospitalized following a Hayward pedestrian accident on Oct. 11th died at the hospital.
The collision happened about 1 a.m. on Oct. 11th when a truck driver struck the victim in the roadway, according to East Bay Times.
A motorist struck the unidentified man at the intersection of Huntwood Avenue and Salmon Way.
Authorities released a statement Thursday that the man later died from his injuries at the hospital.
The coroner did not release the victim’s name at this time pending notification of relatives.
Police report the truck driver stopped following the Hayward pedestrian accident and cooperated with the investigation.
There were no arrests or charges filed at this time.
Investigators did not mention if the man was walking in a crosswalk at the time of the collision.
