CHP said the pedestrian was struck by a white Toyota Corolla about 9:17 p.m.
As per the report log, paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed that the victim was killed upon impact. The name of the deceased has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, a witness initially told CHP that the driver involved fled the scene. However, the dispatch later indicated that the motorist pulled over and remained in the area.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
