Driver Hits Pedestrian in Crash on Caruthers Avenue
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (April 20, 2021) — A pedestrian hit-and-run crash on Caruthers Avenue happened early Tuesday morning in Fresno County.
Also, the major-injury accident happened about 12:30 a.m. on April 20th at Brawley Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol and Fox26 News.
Additionally, CHP Officers report the suspect struck the victim before fleeing the hit-and-run crash scene on Caruthers Avenue. He driver failed to render assistance to the injured pedestrian as is required under California law.
Pedestrian Hospitalized with Major Injuries
Meanwhile, paramedics attended to the pedestrian and airlifted the person to Community Regional Medical Center. The age, gender and identity of the victim has not been released.
Finally, the California Highway Patrol is investigating the Caruthers Avenue hit-and-run crash and seeking to locate the driver who fled. Witnesses may contact authorities to help them in their efforts to apprehend the driver.
