Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Crash Rosedale Restaurant Parking Lot Highway 58

Pedestrian Injured in Rosedale Parking Lot Hit-and-Run on Highway 58

ROSEDALE, CA (August 6, 2021) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash in a Rosedale parking lot on Highway 58.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the incident at about 12:48 p.m.

CHP said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in Rosedale. The driver hit the him in the parking lot of McDonald’s at 13003 Highway 58.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Allen Road. They found the 30-year-old man who complained of pain as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then took the patient to the Kern Medical Center for treatment of an ankle injury. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled the area. Officers forced a portion of the parking area along Highway 58 to close following the collision.

The cause of the Rosedale hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
