Man Struck, Killed on E. Second Street in Belmont Shore
LONG BEACH, Calif. (Sept. 24, 2024) – A Long Beach fire truck responding to a call early Tuesday struck and killed a pedestrian in the Belmont Shore area of Long Beach.
The fatal pedestrian accident occurred around 12:40 a.m. on Sept. 24th in the 5300 block of East Second Street, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The Long Beach Police Department is heading up an investigation into what happened.
The male victim was outside the fire station’s truck entrance/exit when the vehicle struck him. The man died at the scene, but his identity was not released.
