ONTARIO, Calif. (Aug. 2, 2023) — A black dump truck struck a pedestrian in a wheelchair at the Interstate 10 Freeway and 4th Street off ramp in Ontario.
The pedestrian accident occurred around 11:42 a.m. on August 2nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a good Samaritan moved the man out of the roadway to a sidewalk and the truck driver stopped.
Paramedics with the Ontario Fire Department responded along with deputies from the Ontario Police Department.
It’s unknown what injuries the man suffered or if he was taken to a hospital.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the pedestrian accident.
