The accident was reported at approximately 6:30 p.m.
As per the article, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said a woman was crossing Danbury Avenue when she was struck by a dark colored Saturn.
The victim was taken by ground ambulance to St. Mary Medical Center with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Her name and condition at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, witnesses claimed the driver involved stopped momentarily at the scene but later took off. Deputies described the suspect as a white man, approximately 18 years old, 6-foot-1 with dark hair.
The vehicle is believed to be a black or dark colored Saturn with a missing passenger side mirror.
Authorities are gathering more information and evidence to locate the hit-and-run motorist.
