EAST LOS ANGELES, California (July 11, 2016) – A hit-and-run driver left a pedestrian injured in the area of East 1st Street and South Eastern Avenue on Monday night, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
CHP first logged the incident when a truck ran a red light and struck the pedestrian at 8:51 p.m. The driver involved did not stop to render aid and took off.
As per the report log, Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel along with the paramedics responded to scene and attended to the victim who suffered unspecified injuries following the collision. The name and condition of the patient remained unknown at this time.
Meanwhile, the dispatch mentioned that Good Samaritans were able to block the suspect vehicle.
